Adelaide parents Zoe and Paul Goldrick’s 5-year-old daughter, Maggie, is a social and chatty little girl who is very determined, cheeky and funny. She loves to perform and her personality is pure joy for her parents and older brother, Adam.
In 2017, Maggie had a difficult start to life when after 21 days in the neonatal intensive care unit the doctors heard a murmur and she was diagnosed with Ventricular septal defect (VSD), a form of congenital heart disease (CHD) which means there is a hole in her heart.
HeartKids has been a huge support to the Goldrick family during these journey with congenital heart disease in many simple and practical ways.
“HeartKids provides a community of emotional support, an ear to listen or a sandwich when you can’t leave your child’s side,” says mum Zoe.
