For Shipra and Yugesh Soni, their journey with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) started during a 20-week pregnancy scan, which revealed that their daughter Adira had a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) along with other complications. Despite their worries and the emotional and financial strain, they relied on the support of HeartKids to get them through the difficult times.
Adira has just turned one and is now a happy, relaxed toddler who loves to play and smile. However, she is still adjusting to stranger danger after her surgery, which is a common reaction for children who have undergone major surgery at a young age. It is uncertain if Adira will need further surgery in the future, but Shipra and Yugesh know that HeartKids is only a phone call or a catch-up away.
